Knowledge bases help you work with large amounts of text that exceed what models can process at once. For supported text documents, semantic search finds relevant sections and uses only those sections to generate the response. See Knowledge bases for details. Excel and CSV files need a different processing path. Use Create & work with files for spreadsheet analysis, or use Folders for active file work with files. These features process different formats of data. Knowledge bases extract relevant text sections, while spreadsheet analysis needs the attached file available as a complete table.
