Welcome to the product section of our knowledge base! This section is aimed at users of our platform and is designed to provide you with an in-depth understanding of each of our products.

Introduction

Apart from the tools you can steer with your written input, you can use a few other functionalities to work in the chat. These are the model selector in the top left corner and the buttons to interact with prompts and responses.

Basic Chat functionalities

The chat allows you to send prompts to different AI models and receive a response based on your question. You can use various tools to work with documents, search the web, or perform other operations in the chat. These tools are different capabilities the models have. Describe what you want to do, and the model will choose the right tool automatically based on your request.

If you developed a good prompt and want to reuse it in the future, there is a prompt library to store it. You can edit it, share it with others, and use it easily in a chat or with an assistant. Prompts in the prompt library are always stored within folders. You can keep your folders private or share your folders with other users in the workspace.

Assistants are chatbots you can set up for a specific use case or to work with a specific document. It works similarly to the chat, with the difference that you save documents and instructions to refer to the assistant without setting the chat up again.

There are different tools you can ue to configure the assistant and tailor it to your specific use case.

Assistant Configuration

Assistant Actions allow users to connect external tools and perform API calls to retrieve information and send requests. This can be used to create entries in other tools.

Langdock Search is a functionality that allows users to search files, pages, and content across all connected tools.

Introduction to Search

The Account Settings include all preferences and adjustments for a specific user. They only apply to this specific user and no one else. The account settings can be set by any user.

The workspace settings apply to multiple users, usually the entire workspace. This is only accessible for admins (except groups if the admins allow individual users to create groups).

Langdock supports personal integrations and workspace integrations.  Both provide similar functionality to the Langdock user, but they differ in capability and setup complexity. In the following, we will provide guidance on when to use which integration type.
