Set the workspace suite and category defaults that match the tools your workspace uses. Langdock prioritizes these integrations when members sign up, join the workspace, or receive recommendations.
Prerequisites
- You are a workspace admin.
- Navigate to Integrations in your workspace settings.
How defaults work
- Workspace suite: Microsoft or Google serves as the default for every supported integration category. Members see integrations from that suite first during onboarding and in recommendations.
- Advanced category defaults: set a different integration as the default for individual categories. For example, use Google as the workspace suite but set Slack as the Messaging default.
- Personal choices: for recommendations, Langdock uses a member’s existing connection or personal choice for a category instead of the workspace default.
- No default: select None if your workspace does not prescribe a suite. Members continue to choose their own tools.
The workspace suite and category defaults influence recommendations only. If you select a different workspace suite or set a different integration as a category default, existing user integrations and access permissions remain unchanged. Members do not need to switch their connected tools.
Set the workspace suite
- Open Integrations in your workspace settings.
- Locate the Default tool stack section.
- Select Microsoft, Google, or None.
Your selection saves automatically. Langdock counts how many existing workspace connections belong to each suite. When one suite has at least three connections and more than any other suite, Langdock uses it for recommendations and preselects it in this setting until you choose one.
Set category defaults
Set a category default when your workspace uses a tool outside its suite for that category.
- Under Default tool stack, expand Advanced category defaults.
- Find the category you want to configure, such as Messaging or Project management.
- Select the integration to use as the default, or choose Use suite default to remove the category default.
Category defaults are available for email, calendar, file storage, messaging, meetings, project management, CRM, support, knowledge base, code repository, and business intelligence when your workspace has an integration in that category.
A saved category default replaces the suite default only for that category. All other categories continue to use the workspace suite.
Clear a default
- To remove a category default, open Advanced category defaults and choose Use suite default for that category.
- To remove the workspace suite, select None in the Default tool stack section.
