Agent management features are available to workspace administrators.
Disabling an agent archives it without permanently deleting it. Disabled agents cannot be used but can be re-enabled at any time.

When to Disable vs Delete

Deleting an agent is permanent and cannot be undone. Disable agents first if you’re unsure whether they’ll be needed in the future.

How to Disable an Agent

Disable the agent from Governance with Disable. Owners and editors receive an inbox notification with the reason. In dedicated deployments:
  1. Go to Workspace Settings → Agents
  2. Find the agent and click the menu
  3. Select Disable
Disabled agents:
  • Show a Disabled indicator on their agent card
  • Cannot be used in new conversations
  • Preserve their configuration, knowledge, and settings
  • Can be re-enabled by an admin at any time

How to Re-enable an Agent

Re-enable the agent from Governance. The editor publishes a new version first. Then approve that version with Approve. In dedicated deployments:
  1. Go to Workspace Settings → Agents
  2. Filter by Disabled status to find archived agents
  3. Click the menu on the agent and select Enable
