Agent management features are available to workspace administrators.
Unassigned agents are agents that no longer have an active owner. This typically happens when the original creator leaves the workspace or their account is deactivated.

What Are Unassigned Agents

An agent becomes unassigned when:
  • The owner’s account is removed from the workspace
  • The owner is deactivated through SCIM or manual admin action
  • The original creator transfers ownership but the new owner is later removed
Unassigned agents continue to function normally for users. However, they cannot be edited until a new owner is assigned.

Why Reassignment Matters

Without an owner, an agent:
  • Cannot be updated or modified
  • Has no one responsible for maintenance
  • May become outdated over time
  • Cannot receive feedback responses from users

How to Reassign Ownership

  1. Go to Workspace Settings → Agents
  2. Filter by Unassigned to find agents without an owner
  3. Click the menu on the agent and select Assign owner
  4. Search for and select a workspace member as the new owner
Regularly review your unassigned agents list, especially after offboarding team members. This ensures all agents remain maintained and up-to-date.

Best Practices for Ownership

  • Assign agents to team leads or department heads who can ensure ongoing maintenance
  • Consider creating a shared service account for organization-wide agents
  • Document ownership expectations in your AI governance policies
  • Set up a regular review schedule to check for unassigned agents
