# Troubleshooting

> Fix common Meetings problems: no access, transcriptions that don't start or stop early, missing participants, missing summaries, calendar events or meetings, and watermark setup.

## Meetings isn't in the sidebar

Meetings isn't enabled for you. Ask your workspace admin for access. Admins can turn it on in [Access](https://docs.langdock.com/en/admin/manage-meetings/access.md#give-everyone-access).

## A transcription doesn't start

| What you see | What to do |
| - | - |
| A message that you've used your free transcriptions for this month | Ask your workspace admin for a Meetings seat. See [Introduction to Meetings](https://docs.langdock.com/en/using-langdock/meetings/introduction.md#access-and-transcription-allowance). |
| "A recording is already running. Stop it before starting a new one." | Stop the other transcription first. In the browser, check your other tabs. |
| "Could not start recording. Check desktop permissions and try again." | See [Allow microphone and system audio](https://docs.langdock.com/en/using-langdock/meetings/getting-started.md#allow-microphone-and-system-audio). |
| "Recording couldn't start" in the permissions dialog | Restart the desktop app, especially after an update, then select **Try again**. |
| "Browser recording requires a supported desktop browser…" | Use a computer. Phones and tablets aren't supported. |
| "This meeting can no longer be resumed because it ended more than 24 hours ago." | Start a new transcription. |

## Other participants aren't in the transcript

Only your own voice is transcribed when:

* You're transcribing in the **browser**. Use the desktop app for online calls.
* **System audio** isn't allowed on macOS. See [Allow microphone and system audio](https://docs.langdock.com/en/using-langdock/meetings/getting-started.md#allow-microphone-and-system-audio).
* You're on **macOS 14.0 or 14.1**. Update to macOS 14.2 or later.

## The transcription stopped or was interrupted

| What you see | What to do |
| - | - |
| "The recording was interrupted. Please try again." | [Resume](https://docs.langdock.com/en/using-langdock/meetings/transcribing.md#stop-and-resume) the transcription. |
| "The connection to the recording service was interrupted." | Check your internet or VPN connection, then resume. |
| "The connection was lost before the recording finished uploading…" | The saved transcript is kept, but the end may be missing. |
| "Microphone disconnected. Recording has paused." | Choose a microphone, then select **Resume**. |
| **Langdock will stop transcribing** or **Transcription stopped** | Select the watermark camera in your meeting. See [Watermark and transcription notices](https://docs.langdock.com/en/using-langdock/meetings/watermark.md#if-you-switch-away-from-the-watermark-camera). |
| "You're not signed in. Sign in again to resume recording." | Sign in again. |

Transcription error messages include a **Session ID**. Share it with support if the problem keeps happening.

## Transcription on a company network

In the desktop app, go to **Settings > Account > Meetings** and select **Test** next to **Test connection**. The test checks whether transcription works on your network, without capturing audio.

* **You can record:** "You're ready for meetings." You don't need to do anything.
* **Can't record right now:** Check your internet or VPN connection.
* **Limited:** Live transcripts may appear more slowly.
* Messages about a proxy sign-in, an untrusted certificate or denied access mean your company network is blocking the connection.

In each case, select **Copy report for IT** and send the report to your IT team or to support. Select **Test again** after a change. If your IT team needs more detail than the report, contact support.

## The summary is missing

| What you see | What it means |
| - | - |
| "Stop the transcription to generate a summary." | The transcription is still running. Select **Stop transcribing**. |
| **Nothing was said** | The transcript is empty, so there's nothing to summarize. Check your audio setup. |
| "The AI summary could not be generated." | Open the three-dot menu and select **Regenerate summary**. Your notes and transcript are still available. |

## Upcoming meetings are missing

* "One calendar needs to be reconnected." Reconnect the calendar.
* "Couldn't load events from one calendar." Try again later.
* "Showing the next 250 events from one calendar." Later events aren't shown.
* Only events from your primary calendar in the next 31 days appear.
* Check that the calendar's switch is on in [Personal settings](https://docs.langdock.com/en/using-langdock/meetings/personal-settings.md#calendar).

## Missing meetings

If a meeting is missing or you can't open it:

* Check **All**, **My meetings** and **Shared with me** on the Meetings page.
* Use **Filters** to filter by **People** or **Companies**, or search by title.
* "This meeting could not be found." means the meeting was deleted or you no longer have access. Ask the owner to share it again.
* If you can't see the transcript, your workspace may hide transcripts. The summary is still available.

## The watermark camera can't be set up

If the camera is missing, quit and reopen the meeting app or browser completely, and keep the Langdock desktop app running. On Windows, installing the watermark camera requires admin rights. Ask your IT team if your company manages your computer. See [Set up the watermark camera](https://docs.langdock.com/en/using-langdock/meetings/watermark.md#set-up-the-watermark-camera).

If setting up the camera or turning on the camera extension still fails, contact support.
