# Sharing and access

> Share a meeting with colleagues as Viewer or Editor, find meetings shared with you and create public links when your workspace allows them.

## Share a meeting

**1. Open the share dialog**

Open the meeting and select **Share** at the top right.

**2. Add people**

Use **Search people...** to find and select a colleague. You can also share with an individual email address, including people outside your workspace.

**3. Choose a role**

Choose **Viewer** or **Editor**. See [Roles](#roles).

**4. Notify them**

Choose whether to **Notify people by email** and add an optional message.

**5. Share**

Select **Share**.

The dialog also includes **Copy link** and **People with access**.

## Roles

| Role | Access |
| - | - |
| **Viewer** | Can read the summary, transcript and chat. Can't edit anything. |
| **Editor** | Can edit the summary. Personal notes stay private to the owner. |

Your own notes in **My notes** are never shared. Workspace policies apply on top of these roles: if your workspace hides transcripts, nobody can see them, whatever role they have. See [Privacy and data](https://docs.langdock.com/en/using-langdock/meetings/privacy.md#who-can-see-your-meetings).

## Check and change access

Open **Share** and review **People with access** to see who can open the meeting.

## Meetings shared with you

Select **Meetings** in the sidebar, then **Shared with me** to find meetings others have shared with you. If a shared meeting is missing, see [Troubleshooting](https://docs.langdock.com/en/using-langdock/meetings/troubleshooting.md#missing-meetings).

## Public meeting links

If your workspace allows public meeting links, meeting owners can create a link in the meeting's **Share** dialog under **Public link**.

* Anyone with the link, including people outside your workspace, can view the summary without signing in.
* They can't see the transcript or personal notes.
* The dialog offers 7 days by default. A link lasts at most 30 days.
* You can remove the link at any time.

Share the public link only with the people who should read the summary.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Your workspace admin decides whether public links are allowed. If an admin turns off **Allow public meeting links**, all existing public links stop working. See [Data & sharing](https://docs.langdock.com/en/admin/manage-meetings/data-sharing.md#allow-public-meeting-links).
