# Ashby

> Connect Ashby to Langdock to manage your recruiting pipeline directly from your conversations

## Overview

Ashby is an all-in-one recruiting platform. Once connected, you can use Langdock to search candidates, manage applications, track interview stages, and submit feedback directly from your conversations.

## Prerequisites

* An Ashby account with admin or API access
* Permission to generate API keys in your Ashby organization

## Setup

    Follow [Ashby's API documentation](https://developers.ashbyhq.com/docs) to generate an API key. The key is only shown once, so copy it immediately.

  <Step title="Navigate to Integrations in Langdock">
    Go to [Integrations](https://app.langdock.com/integrations) and find **Ashby** in the list.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your API key">
    Paste the API key into the configuration field and save.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Start using Ashby in Langdock">
    Tag the integration with `@` in any agent to start working with your recruiting data.

## Troubleshooting

| Issue                     | Solution                                                                                    |
| ------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Authentication failed** | Verify the API key is correct and hasn't been revoked in Ashby settings                     |
| **Permission denied**     | Ensure the API key has the required permissions for the operations you're trying to perform |
| **Data not found**        | Confirm the application or candidate ID is correct using a search action first              |
