# Default tool stack

> Set the default suite and category tools for your workspace so members see the right integrations during onboarding and recommendations.

Choose the tools your workspace standardizes on. Setting a default tool stack tells Langdock which integrations to prioritize when members sign up, join the workspace, or receive integration recommendations in chat.

## Prerequisites

* You are a workspace admin.
* Navigate to [Integrations](https://app.langdock.com/settings/workspace/products/integrations) in your workspace settings.

## How defaults work

* **Workspace suite** — a single suite (Microsoft or Google) applied across all supported integration categories. Members see suite integrations first during onboarding and recommendations.
* **Advanced category defaults** — optional per-category overrides for cases where your workspace mixes tools. For example, use the Google suite but set **Slack** as the messaging default.
* **No default** — leave the suite unset if your workspace does not standardize on one. Members still choose their own tools.

Defaults influence recommendations only. They do not disconnect existing user integrations, restrict access, or force anyone to switch tools.

## Set the workspace suite

1. Open [Integrations](https://app.langdock.com/settings/workspace/products/integrations) in your workspace settings.
2. Locate the **Default tool stack** section.
3. Select **Microsoft**, **Google**, or **None**.

Your selection saves automatically. Langdock uses the workspace-majority suite as a suggested starting point when you have not chosen one yet.

## Configure category exceptions

Use category defaults when a single category does not match your main suite.

1. Under **Default tool stack**, expand **Advanced category defaults**.
2. Find the category you want to override, such as **Messaging** or **Project management**.
3. Pick the integration to use as the default, or choose **Use suite default** to revert.

Supported categories include email, calendar, file storage, messaging, meetings, project management, CRM, support, knowledge base, code repository, and business intelligence.

<Tip>
  Exceptions stack on top of the suite. Only categories with a saved exception override the suite default; the rest continue to follow your suite selection.
</Tip>

## Clear a default

* To remove a category exception, open **Advanced category defaults** and choose **Use suite default** for that category.
* To remove the workspace suite entirely, select **None** in the suite toggle.
